Emma and Paul met at a Halloween party and fast forward a couple of years they got engaged in their back garden. With their family about to grow they brought forward their wedding and so headed to the forest for a glam engagement session.
I love these intimate portraits with the most beautiful of light and just know you guys will too :-)
Thanks so much to the brilliant John Hope Photography for sharing his photography with us today.

Emma told me; “Paul and I met at a Halloween party, me dressed as Cruella De Ville and him as a plague doctor, on the night before I moved out of his hometown. We met again at the same mutual friend’s Christmas party that year and, after consistently driving through winter snow, wind and rain to get to each other, we moved in with each other three months later.”

“A couple of years later, we brought our first house, and Paul proposed to me in February in our garden; I particularly remember him saying we could watch everything grow together. Funnily enough, we’re now expecting our first child; so many things, my tummy, our overdraft etc. will certainly be growing in the near future.”

“Before we found out about the baby, we were planning a vintage tea party in a welsh castle in the midst of summer; however, with the little bump arriving, we had to bring the whole thing forward, and we’re now having a winter wonderland Art Deco affair at Colwick Hall Hotel.”

“I now plan on being able to tell everyone how they embarrassed themselves, whilst I drink my mocktails and create a mental scrapbook of how my wedding unfolds…”

Wow wee!! I am now dying to see your wedding guys :-) thanks so so much for sharing your story with us today XOXO Lou

This couple looks epic! every image is so simple, genuine and heartfelt...and i just love the "morning after a party" feel to the first half- it tells a story.
