Hi Rachel, could you firstly tell {www} readers a little bit about you?

I have been photographing people and just about everything for 7 years and I am so happy and grateful that this is my career…. I love photography and love that my job allows me to travel around meeting wonderful people and capturing the love and just general life around me.

I love nature and things to be natural and like to photograph things this way. My portraits and wedding photos are relaxed, timeless, and have been described once like a fondant fancy! I like people to look at my images and feel the emotion and spirit of the moment, I love natural light, a dreamy and romantic feel, soft light and airy colours and beautiful black and whites.

What do you love/dislike about your job?

I love that I get to work with some really special people and that I am part of the most amazing day of peoples lives – I am honoured. I love creating beautiful imagery and LOVE doing the shots of the couples. My job allows me to be very creative which is perfect for me.

I dislike the fact that I only work with my wedding couples so briefly – i meet so many lovely people and its hard to think I wont see them again!

How did you get into photography and into the wedding industry?

I have been photographing babies and people for 7 years – i went travelling at 19 with my sister and didnt put my camera down and thats how it began!

What do you aim to achieve for your clients?

I aim to give my clients a set of images that they will look back on in years to come and remember the day like it was yesterday! I love concentrating just on the bride and groom for a short while too – I feel these are such an important part of the collection – the wedding is about your love after all!

What style is your work?

My style is documentary and timeless and creative.

Do you have any tips for couples in selecting their wedding photographer?

I would say make sure that the photography style suits your needs – for example if you want mostly staged and group shots then do not pick me! However if you want the day captured as it happens and creative couple shots then go for someone whose style compliments this. I have been commented on my friendliness and making people feel at ease and I feel that this is important for your day.
