Lucy and Ollie are not only the sweetest couple but the coolest too. Stylish, totally loved up and with the loveliest proposal story. They headed to Hampstead Heath where Ollie planned to propose and where they loved to get lost in.
Summer. Romance. I love these images.
Thanks so much to the lovely Esme Ducker Photography for sharing her photographs today.

Lucy tells me; “There are about four versions of how Ollie and I first met – involving various parties and nights out that our mutual friends had organised – suffice to say I don’t recall any of them – it appears he was invisible to me. I do recall crashing out in a bed with him at a house party and realising he made me laugh but we actually properly got together on new years day 2007 in a remote cottage in the middle of the Welsh countryside while celebrating new year with loads of our friends. He had me cornered and there was nowhere to go!”

“Fast forward May 2011 and after a lot of Oxford – London commuting each weekend we had just moved in together in our lovely little flat in Dartmouth Park, North London. It was pretty early on a Saturday morning, about 9am and I was chatting on the phone to my Mum in the garden in my pyjamas and Ollie was pacing around and “gardening” our tiny garden in a truly bizarre fashion for about an hour while I nattered away. When I eventually got off the phone and asked him why he was acting so weird he got down on one knee, took my hands in his gardening gloves and asked me to marry him. Ha ha very funny I said, as he is a real joker. But no I was actually being proposed to by a man in his dressing gown and gardening gloves. The romance! Turns out he had a whole day planned out where he was going to propose on Hampstead Heath but I scuppered it by insisting I had to go food shopping / prepare for a dinner party we had for our friends that night! So he hurriedly asked me in the morning as he was worried my Dad would think he’d changed his mind! There was no ring as he (rightly) guessed I would want to pick myself but there was a bottle of champagne chilling in the freezer so we opened that to celebrate instead! So there we were drinking champagne at 10am! Never have I been on such a cloud 9 when going to the supermarket!”

“We chose Hampstead Heath for our engagement shoot as it seemed apt as that was where Ollie had planned to propose, and we love going for long walks / getting lost there.”

Thanks so so much for sharing your love story guys :-) XOXO Lou
