The gorgeous Diana is a Whimsical Wonderland Weddings reader and she found her amazing photographer Nicola via these pages :-) yay!
Diana and Omar met in a hospital they worked in and got engaged last summer. They are actually getting married tomorrow!!! Ekk!! They had a super romantic engagement shot in a rowing boat in Stratford. These are a beautiful set of images, and they have an equally beautiful story to share with you.
Thanks so much to the fabulous Daffodil Waves Photography for sharing her awesome images this afternoon.

“My name is Diana and tomorrow I am marrying Omar..
We met at work three years ago, when I was working at a hospital in Birmingham, and Omar came to work there temporarily after finishing uni. Omar is quite reserved but at first I thought he was a seemed aloof and moody. Luckily on a night out we did end up chatting. I remember i thought he was quite softly spoken. From that time onwards we would email each other at work until he finally asked me if I would like to go out to the cinema. I soon found he was not moody at all just thoughtful and quiet when he first meets people. He is the kindest person I have ever met and we have a great friendship. We now live together in a lovely terraced house in birmingham and we have a cat, who we adopted, called Phoebe.”

“We got engaged last summer in the very beautiful and romantic Stratford where Omar surprised me by getting down on one knee in the hotel room before we went for dinner. The wardrobe had a long mirror inside the door and I was stood behind it applying my eyeliner when Omar said bab (we call each other bab in a tongue in cheek way as it was a word we always hated but now it has affectionately stuck)…I replied ‘hold on a sec I have to do my other eye’. When I eventually peeped round the door he was on one knee with his arm stretched out holding a box. ‘Will you marry me’ he said. It was such a strange romantic but also a tiny bit funny moment. ‘Yes, I replied, but get up please’ and we hugged and of course we had a little cry, it was very special.”

“The romantic row boat engagement shoot idea stemmed from the fact that we got engaged in Stratford and love the river there and the pretty rowboats. I was really nervous about the shoot but Nicola put us perfectly at ease and told me to trust her magic camera!! It certainly is magic and the pictures are really relaxed and beautiful..”

“We have planned a romantic summer wedding , Thursday 9th August 2011 at St Mary’s, which is our parish church. Our theme is lace and pearls with lots of dusky pink roses and we would like a vintage look to the day. We both love music and it is key in our day so we have an all male choir to sing in the Church who sound beautiful, and we are really looking forward to the band we have booked The Redfords on the evening.”

“We are having the amazing ‘Nicola’ aka ‘Daffodil Waves’ as my photographer. I actually found her whilst browsing Whimsical Wonderland Weddings. As well as a talented lady she has become a firm and trusted friend and often gives me advice on my many wedding dilemmas.”

Thanks so much for sharing guys!! And good luck for tomorrow, i hope you have the most amazing day… i cannot wait to see the pictures already XOXO Lou
