Laura has been super busy, sending out her gorgeous invitations, having a hair trial (loving her statement do) and buying super cute umbrellas to be prepared for any weather. Take it away Laura ;-) XOXO Lou

Hi everyone
Summer’s finally here, which is a bit of a relief given that my wedding is pretty reliant on being outside. Fingers crossed that it lasts.
I’ve photographed so many weddings where it’s rained this year that I’m starting to feel a bit like rain is inevitable, so I’ve decided to embrace it and buy the most cheery umbrellas I can find. So far I’ve found these adorable kid’s umbrellas. We also have a whole load of rainbow golf sized umbrellas and we’ve asked guests to bring brightly coloured brollies in case of rain.

I also have a pair of bright yellow Hunter wellies and I think I’ll actually be a bit disapointed if I don’t actually get to wear them!
It’s now less than two months until the wedding and I’m starting to feel like I need to get my skates on and crack on with the last bits and pieces. We hit a major milestone last week as we sent our invites out and we’ve already had our first few RSVPs back!
Pete is a graphic designer, so he designed them, with a little bit of input from me. I’m so amazingly pleased with them. They feel very personal to us and our wedding. We decided to send out a little bundle of postcards, tied with raffia and with a ticket for each person. Here are some pictures.

Cute, huh?
I spotted this gorgeous picture by the lovely Rachel Tweeddale. We’ve been looking for inspiration for a backdrop for our ceremony and I’m totally pinching this idea.

I had my hair trial last week with the marvellous Sharon Roberts (http://wonderfulweddinghair.co.uk/) and I decided on a hugggggge oversized bun, which will have real flowers all around it. Here’s a (terrible quality I phone) picture of the back. Massive, isn’t it? I love.

The next job on our list is to sort out Pete’s suit. We’re braving Oxford Street this evening. We had a bit of a mooch around Westfield over the weekend but couldn’t quite find the right thing. Pete will be accessorising his suit with a yellow bow-tie and matching converse, which is fun, so we don’t want his suit to be too formal.
The other thing I’ve been doing is talking Jay Archer (http://www.jayarcherfloraldesign.com/) to finalise my flowers. Check out our pintrest board here: http://pinterest.com/jayarcher/laura-september-2012/. I’m having a bouquet, flowers for my hair and then we’re having a whole load of loose flowers in jars and tins for the tables and in various locations around the site. I want it all to be very casual and laid back.
Well we’ve actually got quite a lot done on reflection. I expect my next post will be about my hen party, as the date is fast approaching. I’m off to Drink, Shop, Do for a facinator making workshop and afternoon tea. We’re then going to Bodeans for a meat overdose and then on to a bar for some dancing. I can’t wait!
I hope your wedding plans are going swimmingly. Do let me know what you’ve been up to.
Laura x
