Afternoon lovelies :-) Kelly is back, and she has been a busy bee helping with her brother in law’s wedding. She is off on her hen do this weekend, i hope you have an amazing time Kelly :-) XOXO Lou

Its been a busy few months, my Brother In Law to be got married last week and I was heavily involved in the DIY and Décor side of things that our wedding has had to take a backseat a little. It was a really lovely day despite some rain, a vintagey marquee wedding, the ceremony took place in a beautiful and very old little church with the reception at a nearby country pub with some gorgeous scenery. It was a really laid back affair, the bride (Tracey) wore the gorgeous Maggie Sottero dress ‘Sabelle’ in Champagne Gold, with the groom (Craig) and his 13 ushers in Brown and Cream, the older bridesmaids wore one shoulder full length chiffon dresses with a ruffle detail and the flowergirls (including my beautiful little lady) wore lovely ivory and gold lace detail dresses from BHS.

In terms of décor Tracey loves butterflies and we picked up on details in the dress using lace. We picked a brown and cream polka dot ribbon as an accent too. We used this throughout from the wedding invites through to the Marquee decoration.

I also made 9 candy trees as centrepieces, using marshmallows and brown foam roses as an accent.
It was a beautiful day, everyone has raved about it since, it really made me realise your day doesn’t have to be packed to the rafters with a million and one DIY projects and is just about the couple becoming man and wife. Although I am all about the details and cant wait to crack on with ours haha.

I have done some wedding planning though, I have already bought the Flowergirl dresses, I have received the first proof of our wedding invites (they are awesome), I have picked the bridesmaid dresses (I think!!), made some bigish decisions in regards to what I actually want our wedding to resemble. My lovely chief bridesmaids have been busy beevering away planning my ‘surprise’ hen do. I am off on Hen Do Number 1, with my amazing mummy friends to Manchester this Saturday, they are coming from all over (one is even coming from France!!) and I cannot wait. Will hopefully have some pics for my next post.
Next month with be all about my girls (big and small) and who they are and what they will possibly be wearing.
Hope everyone is well and planning is going smoothly. Hope everyone managed to welcome our lovely new Bride – Laura F last week.
Much Love
Kelly
