My Cubby Hole Office in Pictures ~ Sunday Ramble + Sneak Peek ~ UK Wedding Blog ~ Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

Hey lovelies!! Hope you are having a great weekend so far.

I have been meaning forever to share my little office space. Just over a year ago, we kicked our kitty Eva out of her cubby hole, and decided i needed somewhere to blog other than my bed/sofa/dining table (delete as appropriate). And its such an exciting moment when you realise you have a business, and you need to get a little professional in the way you work.

It’s not perfect, and probably not 100% complete, but it’s been a year so it’s about time i share where the magic happens hehe.

I brought my desk, chair and storage boxes from Ikea. We live in a new build so wanted something modern and practical. The walls are painted in farrow and ball, in grey and orange shades, orange is our favourite colour and our whole living area is decked out in a similar scheme. I have a digital radio which usually plays radio 6 or radio 1 whilst i blog. Above you can see my trusty Filofax and heart note book. The some of the cute decor was made by Shelley at Toast of Leeds, isn’t she a sweetheart :-) Although you may recognise the orange pom pom and the red origami heart.

My wall planner is from Present and Correct, and my white board helps me organise my features waiting list. I love my cardboard XOXO”s they are from Hobbycraft, and the lovely postcard is by Doodlelove, i still need to get a frame for that hehe!

A few weeks ago Hello Canvas (who i cannot recommend enough) got in touch seeing if i wanted a free canvas print, er yes please!! I have been meaning to hang something inspirational on the wall, so i got this lavender image printed. It was taken by G of me, it was featured a while ago on WWW, and went down really well. Plus it brings back memories of the most precious day, a day where i felt free. So it was perfect for my micro office.

Of course there is my Sony laptop, which i am eager to replace sometime soon, and my wireless mouse which is a must have with a laptop. I love my lamp, which was from B+Q would you believe hehe!!

The best thing if you work from home, about creating an office space, is switching into ‘work’ mode when you sit down. It helps me to separate my blogging from my home life. And being in a teeny 2 bed apartment, it’s pretty necessary. Hopefully one day i hope to have a whole room to myself though ;-)

But in the meantime i heart my cubby hole orange office :-) I hope you enjoyed having a peep into our home.

Here’s a peek of something gorgeous to come next week….

I love your work space Lou, and I love your photos. I love peeking into other people's houses and work space. I will brave it and take some photos of my own one day soon, but we're planning a rather large makeover over the next 6 months - perhaps I should do a before and after!

Orange is a great colour too - vibrant and lovely :)

    xXx
