A Vintage Engagement at The Black Country Museum ~ UK Wedding Blog ~ Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

WWW reader Corinne and her fiance Gareth had the sweetest engagement shoot.

They headed to The Black Country Museum in the West Midlands, with their family. I so love the vintage feel to this shoot, with the vintage pram and styling. Corinne and her family are totally absorbed in one another, and i love the story of their meeting below :-)

Thanks so much to their amazing photographer Jay Mountford Photography for sharing her gorgeous images with us today;

“We met a few years back on a Forest School training course. I sat at his table because I thought he was gorgeous and the type of man I had always fancied but never actually dated. It was a week long residential course so we got to know each other really well. On the day before the last day we went for a walk and he confessed his feelings for me and asked if he could see me again! We kept walking and have continued to walk together. On that course I was nicknamed Scuffer and it’s what he always calls me.”

“Gareth proposed a last year, we were walking along the beach, he disappeared for a while. We carried on walking and then on the way back he stopped and got me to look over the wall and he’d written “Scuffer, I love you, will you marry me?” in the sand, when I looked at him he was down on one knee and holding a beautiful antique ring.”

“We had the photo shoot at The Black Country Museum as we used to live near there and we love the place, it also meant Jay could take our photos. It was such a lovely day, totally relaxed and lots of fun. Hopefully our wedding will be the same.”

“We plan to have a quick registry office wedding followed by a hand fasting ceremony at the place in Sheffield where we met, we are very outdoorsy and like the idea of an outdoor wedding (it is also planned for anniversary of the date we met!). Gosh, we sound like a soppy couple.”

    Amazing, everything is perfect, from the family to the location and, of course, the quality of the photographs, they really do look like they were taken years ago but with the clarity and quality of a modern camera!
