Afternoon WWWers. I have been dying to share this beautiful period wedding inspiration shoot for a while now :-) ekkks!
Set at the beautiful Colne Vally Railway, these images make for authentic feel vintage style wedding inspiration.
Wedding planner Caroline Gould brought together some of the industries finest including videography by Camera On Films and the photography by Ross Dean Photography. With beautiful accessories, bouquets, cakes and stationery there are so many gorgeous ideas here.
Thanks so much to Caroline for sharing her shoot with us today, here is what she had to say about the day;
“After getting a glimpse of the new vintage collection at a friends new bridal wear consultancy, I came up with the idea to showcase them at a period styled shoot. Colne Valley Railway in Essex was the perfect location. Already a active venue for wedding receptions, we were given free rein of the railway and made good use of the platforms, carriages and the other beautiful surroundings it boasts. What could be better than a bride and groom being photographed in carriages that were once part of the orient express and were featured in the latest Daniel Radcliffe movie, ‘The Woman in Black’! Through my role as co-ordinator for ‘The Suffolk Wedding Network’ I was able to pull together some of the most talented wedding suppliers we have in the region, giving everyone the chance to showcase their products and services to a wider audience. The shoot included bouquets made from buttons and brooches, customised shoes and bags, beautiful bespoke stationery and gorgeous cakes and biscuits. As well as capturing the day in still images, we also wanted to take it that step further and so enlisted the help of a local wedding film maker who produced the fantastic short film, documenting the day.
At the heart of this shoot has been ‘The Suffolk Wedding Network’. Locally, Ross and I felt that dedicated wedding networking would be so valuable to local suppliers but at the time, nothing was going on in our area. In early 2012, we decided to do something about it and invited a handful of our industry friends to a small gathering in Ipswich. Sixth months on and the network is going from strength to strength with regular styled shoots in the diary throughout the year giving our suppliers the opportunity to continually stay creative and be able to promote what they do to as wider audience as possible.”
