Morning WWWers… Kelly is back!! And boy has she been lucky, she has won some amazing competitions, who would have thought it? And well done Kelly on the weight loss :-) I’m off to be jealous of the Alphabet bag hehe! XOXO Lou

Now I have to be the most unlucky person ever, no matter how many times I enter anything I never win well until I started entering competitions for our wedding. So far we have won 80 cupcakes, an Alphabet Bag, some Vera Wang perfume, and £500 worth of stationary.
Blogs, Magazines, Forums, and Social Networking sites are all fabulous ways of finding out about competitions. I would urge everyone not to hesitate to enter any you come across that may be relevant to your big day. We have so far saved a small fortune and get to work with some fantastic suppliers that we may not have otherwise come across.
Our cupcakes were won on Brides Up North blog, we were a week away from booking a huuuuge cake and I got a wonderful email off of Julia from Brides Up North telling me I had won 80 Fancie cupcakes for our wedding day. I absolutely adore Fancie cupcakes, a Sheffield based company who are set to take over the (cupcake) world, they are my little guilty pleasure and my little girl has one of their mini cupcakes every time we go to Meadowhall and it seems so fitting they will be a part of our big day. I’ve also booked a little version (3 tier) of the cake we were going to have as I absolutely adore it from Yummy Little Cakes.
I won a fabulous Alphabet bag on Far From The Wedding Crowd in the first week giveaways on there and the Vera Wang perfume was won on You and Your Wedding in their competitions section. I have kind of used both of these already and the Alphabet Bag is my new fave accessory and is super handy having a 2 year old crap to lug about all the time. The perfume I have kind of a little bit used it all up maybe!! But shhh don’t tell the groom just be our little secret ;-)

And last but by no means least our stationery, won in the most fabulous of wedding magazines – Wedding Ideas. The stationer is Ellie who runs the fantastic A Bird and A Bee, now if you haven’t already heard of this wonderful little company and need wedding stationery do get over there and have a look. Even if you don’t need wedding stationery do go have a look because if your like me a stationery addict (Paperchase is like heaven to me) its worth it for the paperporn! We have picked our design and will be ordering it when the time is right and it fits so beautifully with our classic but glam wedding.
In other news..
I have started a new diet and it is going fantasically, the weight is falling off and I am feeling a million times better about myself for every single pound that I shed (17 so far and in a smaller jean size whoop). Flowergirl dresses have been purchased and so has my ah-maz-ing hair accessory, both of which my next post will be about.
So have you guys won anything? Do you enter competitions? Dont forget to check the fabulous competions when Lou has some running on here, get following everyone wedding related on twitter and check out the magazine websites and the blogs too.
Hope all plans are going well, I feel quite emotional that our Adeline has graduated to the old marrieds but just wait until you see her pics, the sneaks we have seen are beyond words.

Ahh - you sound so happy and excited - it's really lovely to read. Mega jealous of all your winnings too (alphabet bags? *swoon*) and well done on the diet too - amazing stuff. If you have any hints please do throw them my way... ;)

How luck are you?! Well done! I never enter them now after a bad experience, I entered a competition at a wedding fair once and I was inundated with junk emails for months before I found out they had shared my email address with every dodgy email supplier going. But you might of just inspired me to enter some again. Please share your diet with us! I'm struggling at the minute. xx

Another one impressed with your weight loss and dying to hear your secrets. I've cut out cheese and white bread, only having pasta or white rice once a week, only drinking gin and slimline tonic as a tipple, exercising every day, making Rosemary Conley recipes with loads of fresh fruit and vegetables and keeping under 1400 calories and yet I haven't lost any weight in over a month. Its a bit soul destroying.
Come on Kelly, share your tips!! xx

Ok ladies, I've gone drastic and doing the Cambridge Diet! It's actually 20lbs off now as I had a weigh in between sending Lou my post and it going up! In 3 weeks, it's hard going the first week but I am actually loving it now, it's really opened my eyes to how much unnessessary food I ate and its in stages to help keep it off, i've got about 4-4.5 stone to go but the difference nearly a stone and a half has made to my confidence, energy, self esteem is worth it all.
I know of lots of peoplr conned by dud competitions so that's why I stick to the big name blogs and Mags the fayre's are a con in my humble opinion.xx
