I thought i’d continue with the patriotic theme today, with this super cute engagement. I mean you can’t get much more British than a red mini can you?
Lucy, Kirk and Tallulah (the red mini) had a ball on their shoot. I love Tallulah the mini, she provides the perfect prop for their shoot and i hear she has a part of their wedding day too.
Those lavender field shots are to die for too… erm wow!
Thanks so much to Brighton Photo for sharing her beautiful images with us today.

Lucy tells me; “Eeerm, we’ve been together for 7 years, got together when we were 15 and was engaged at 18. Kirk proposed to me in Brighton, in a suite in the queens hotel, he tried to pop the question a number of times but I kept (accidentally) getting in the way :s In the end he asked me while we were sitting on the floor, in bath towels with a few simple words and a beautiful ring. Being rather young, our parents were wary of our engagement and understandably advised us not to rush into the wedding.”

“I’ve known since I was little that I’ve wanted a massive wedding (I have a huge family so dont really have a choice anyways!) so Kirk and I had arranged to have a long engagement in order to save and for fill my wedding dreams! Last year, Kirks nan died but through all the upset and loss he could see a very small silver lining to a big black cloud…through her, he had inherited enough money for us to start our lives as a married couple. So, 4 years on from the engagement, we’re tying the knot in June in Hight rocks, Tunbridge wells and our once skeptical parents are delighted about it and quite proud of us.” Continues Lucy.

“I think its hard for couples to define their weddings these days as they have become so personal and reflective on individual taste but if i was to call it something it’d be ‘The yellow day of love’ haha. Much of the details of the wedding are things that we already own so the day will have a rustic, vintage feel with the back drop of the beautiful wooden venue and steam train railway but essentially my hope for the day is that everybody will have smiles big enough to outshine any wedding decor :D IM SO EXCITED!” Enthuses Lucy.

Oh aren’t they the sweetest, i am so excited for you guys, your wedding sounds amazing. Thanks so much for sharing XOXO Lou
