WWW readers Lisa and Al found their amazing wedding photographer Claire Penn on these very pages, so i was so excited to share their super fun engagement shoot.
Lisa being from Autralia wanted an English vintage feel to their engagement shoot, with lots of cute props, pops of colour and heaps of fun. You can just see how much these two adore each other, it’s the sweetest.
I so love the story of how they met too, scroll down to read Lisa’s account.
Thanks so much to the brillant Claire Penn Photography for sharing her beautiful images with us today…

Lisa tells me; “I am an Australian lawyer and Alan, who is English, works in finance. We met in August 2007 on a Friday afternoon at a bar in Sydney Australia, just next to our respective offices. We kept making eyes at each other across the room, and Alan came over and bought me a glass of red. We had a brief chat and went our separate ways. The following week, Alan used the information he had on me to track me down and I eventually received an email from a girl in the office telling me that I “met this guy on Friday, he’s trying to track you down and wants me to give you his email address to contact him”. I contacted him via email and the rest is history as they say!”

“The proposal took place in a little area called Montalcino in Tuscany, Italy! Alan had booked dinner, but when we arrived they said that they were not open for another hour. I became (childishly) very annoyed and refuted all of Alan’s attempts to go on a lovely romantic walk. He eventually convinced me and I felt very stupid when he got down on one knee on the walk! He proposed under a beautiful pear tree overlooking the Tuscan vineyards! We celebrated over dinner and champagne!” Lisa continues.

Lisa says; “We LOVE cooking and eating together! We also love travelling, and have been to many places around the world together (we’ll be going to India and the Maldives for our honeymoon)! Alan makes me laugh more than anyone else, so more than anything we enjoy relaxing together, especially if good food and wine is involved!”

Thanks so much to Lisa and Al for sharing their story. If their engagement shoot is anything to go by their wedding will be amazing and i for one cannot wait to see it :-)
Have a great weekend lovelies XOXO Lou
