And a Happy Good Friday to you all. This will be today’s only feature due to the holidays, and i thought it would be perfect to share April’s first DIY tutorial over the bank holiday in case you fancy getting your craft on whilst you are off work.

Just in case you missed it, the spoons were the one from The Bride Diaries Photoshoot, Rustic Farm Wedding Inspiration.

These wooden spoons are such a cute favour idea, after your wedding your guests could hang them in their kitchen. You could ditch the glitter so they could be used as a utensil, you could customise them with your names or wedding date too. Not only that but they look super cute on your wedding table. These favours are perfect for a rustic farm wedding or a cooking fanatic :-)

Anyway here’s how to make them:

What you need:

♥ Wooden Spoons

♥ Paint (i used acrylic, emulsion would work too)

♥ Glue

♥ Glitter

♥ Newspaper

♥ Paintbrush

1: For the glitter hearts, using a paintbrush paint a heart shape with the PVA glue.

2: With newspaper underneath, sprinkle the glitter over the glue.

3: Shake off the excess. Then tip the collected glitter on the newspaper back into the glitter pot and reuse.

4: If using emulsion or you have a large amount of paint, dip the spoons in the paint. Otherwise, find a way to stand up the spoon, i used a glass and some tack.

5: Then start painting. Some could be stripey, some could be block coloured. Use dots or patterns, different colours or your chosen colour scheme.

And voila there you have your decorated wooden spoon. Super fun to make and super cute on the wedding place setting. You could always use them in your flower arrangements, your bouquet or as props too :-)

Have fun and happy crafting :-)

Oh I love these dip DIY tutorials! It's a lovely idea with the glittering hearts. I did some spoons like this on my own, but some to cook with.
