This email sang to my heart, there is no better feeling than getting an email like this….
“Dear Lou,
I wanted to email and share with you our recent engagement shoot on the gorgeous Hamptead Heath. The people in the shoot are myself, Annie, my fiance Dave, and our rather naughty 5 month old puppy Milo.I’m such a huge fan and avid follower of Whimsical Wonderland Weddings – i’m sure so many people email you saying that! – but really…when we got engaged last May, I felt very young and lost in the wedding world – aged 22 – and didn’t think we would get married for years. And then, in August last year, my Mum sadly passed away and left a gaping hole in our lives. We then decided to get a puppy, and through this new beginning we found the strength to set a date for our wedding (June 4th this year, thanks to the diamond jubilee extra bank holiday!) and begin the task of planning. And without my Mum I did feel so very lost with the task. BUT finding your blog was amazing. It started the ideas-ball rolling in my mind and from then on, even with a very restricted budget, things have begun to fall into place and we are so excited for our day.We found our wedding photographer, Georgi Mabee and she offered us an engagement shoot in the place of our choice as a way to get to know her and feel comfortable in front of the camera. I think both of us were very worried it might be awful and cheesy…but as soon as we met her we knew we’d be in safe hands! And we were so utterly amazed with the lovely photos that arrived through our post box a week later! We chose Hampstead Heath as it was a place we went as a family most weeks for a walk. And, despite the fog nearly ruining the London skyline photo we had hoped for, and snow, rain and freezing temperatures, we are so pleased with the photos and I just had to share them! So, sorry for waffling, but I’d love you to take a look. Please do let me know if you might like to share these on your blog. There are plenty of photos but I have just included a selection for now. Thanks again for inspiring wedding blog, I wouldn’t have got this far without it.Annie”
Oh isn’t Annie a darling. After reading that email i think you will agree these images mean even more now.
Thanks so much to Georgi Mabee Photography for sharing her images with us today. Without further ado… here you are…
