Bridal Shoot, Shoots
Bohemian Rustic Wedding Inspiration
31.03.2012

It’s international Saturday… wohooo.

I have a lovely wedding inspiration shoot created by the talented Mary Melissa Johnson and shot by Ai-Ling Chang. I love the peachy details, the rustic cake and the laid back attire. What a pleasure to share on a Spring day :-)

Here is what Mary Melissa Johnson had to say about the shoot;

“I love any opportunity to collaborate with other professionals to create inspirational shoots for brides-to-be. Ai-ling and I wanted to develop a rustic and bohemian photo shoot that highlighted the beauty of the area surrounding Whitefield Chapel. The Spanish moss that grows in abundance in Savannah was the main inspiration for the color story. Apricot and yellow nicely complimented the green.

We tried to use items that we thought would be easy for brides to incorporate into a DIY wedding. A week before the shoot, I took a trip to my local nursery to buy a variety of flowerpots and plants that would match the color scheme. The tablecloth was tea-dyed cotton. For the China and glassware, I looked to my cabinet for the perfect boho pattern. Haberdashery Eco Fashion Supply provided amazing repurposed chairs and a vintage cabinet. Garden on the Square created a breathtaking arrangement with apricot roses for the bouquet. The simple, but beautiful butter cream cake from Delectable Designs was decorated with fresh rosemary.

The final touches were added with our bride and groom. Abby looked stunning in the Vera Wang provided by BleuBelle Bridal. For the bride’s hair, Tiffony Simpson created amazing hairstyle that complimented the bridal gown. Staying with the Boho theme, we used “everyday” jewelry. Our Make-up artist, Megan Mateo, kept the make-up very natural with a soft glow. Our groom, Storm, stayed casual in cords and a white button down shirt.

I hope you enjoyed these images as much as we enjoyed creating and shooting them for you. Once again, Thank you to all the talented vendors that made the photo shoot possible!”
