A Vintage Railway Engagement ~ UK Wedding Blog ~ Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

I’m going to say something a little bit bold…. I think this may actually be my favourite ever engagement shoot. It’s just well, a bit wow!

Rachel and Lee are just the most beautiful couple, with effortless style and an abundance of love between them. The chemistry and intimacy in these images is just so touching.

I so love the railway location and the cute little props. Their wedding sounds as though it’s going to be incredible too. Do read on to see what the gorgeous Rachel had to say about herself and Lee. I do heart these two.

Thanks so much to the fabulous Andrea Ellison Photography for sharing her phenomenal images with us today;

Here is what bride to be Rachel had to say about herself and Lee; “We met in April 2009 on a cruise ship in the Caribbean when I was on holiday and Lee was working as an entertainer on the ship. We got chatting and realised that Lee was moving from Essex to Cheshire and we would be living literally 5 minutes apart. By the end of my holiday, we knew that there was something special between us so we kept in contact for the remaining two months of Lee’s contract and met up within hours of Lee returning to the UK. We have been inseparable ever since!”

She continues; “We got engaged on Lee’s birthday in an olive garden in Rhodes (Greece) in July 2010 when we were on holiday together.

We soon started making wedding plans and immediately knew that we wanted our wedding guests to share in our love of travel. From wedding favours to quirky table decorations we are trying to incorporate our passion for travel into our big day. We are getting our inspiration from our own travels as well as from online wedding blogs and other websites such as Etsy.”

“As our wedding plans have evolved – we know that there is little point in creating our perfect day if we don’t have an equally as perfect photographer to capture every detail as well as capturing it in the way we will love forever! We stumbled across Andrea Ellison online and just fell in love with her work. After chatting to her on the phone I felt like I had known her for years and I knew our wedding was in safe hands! It was her suggestion to do an engagement shoot and she was keen to incorporate our travel theme in with it. We took some inspiration from vintage style photo’s that we had seen online and found this really cute place to shoot right be where we live. Andrea did the rest and worked her magic with the camera! Her creativity and eye for a great shot allowed us to just relax and have fun even though it was freezing cold. We absolutely LOVE the pictures we got from the shoot and we never imagined they would be so great – we have had such an amazing response from friends and people we don’t even know! We cant wait to see our wedding photo’s – and were not even married yet!!!”  Laura tells me.
