I have a gorgeous, fresh and bright seaside engagement to share with you today, from {www} favourite, Laura Babb Photography.
Sarah and Ben chose a seaside location for their shoot alongside some grittier locations, which make for a super cool backdrop. Read on for some lovely words from Sarah.
Thanks so much to the brilliant Laura Babb Photography for letting me share her work with you today. Here is what she had to say about the shoot;
“Sarah and Ben’s engagement shoot was so much fun as they had lots of ideas about places that they wanted to incorporate. I love it when couples have lots of ideas as it gives me a great starting point for their shoot. I also love the fact that they went for some quite gritty locations rather than just pretty places.
We spent the afternoon wandering around Brighton, chatting about their wedding plans, my wedding plans and life in general. They’re a brilliant couple and I really can’t wait for their wedding in April.”

Sarah shares the couple’s story with me; “We first met on a random night out; I had been to a family wedding and was persuaded by my sister to carry on the party at her friend’s birthday drinks. Ben knew my sister from college and our paths had crossed previously, this time we hit it off. That was nearly nine years ago!”

“I think we both knew we would get married, but were in no real rush to do so!! Ben Proposed in Christmas 2010 and we get married this April.” She continues.

“Initially, the thought of an engagement shoot filled us with apprehension. Neither of us is that comfortable in front of a camera and I am renowned for closing my eyes in all photos.
What were we worrying about? We love the photos that Laura has captured for us. We moved to Brighton 4 years ago and LOVE it, the engagement shoot has given us some great photos, incorporating some of our favourite parts of town and the engagement shoot has taken away all of the tension we were feeling about being “papped” on our wedding day. Best of all we have some lovely photos of us – and my eyes are open!” She concludes.
