Happy Saturday lovelies :-) As i have so many beautiful weddings to share before Christmas, i thought i’d sneak another one up today… so before you head out, grab a cuppa and treat yourself to some extra wedded inspiration today.
Robin and Wanyu were married back in September with a beautiful, old fashioned feel to their day. Wanyu wears an amazing Vera Wang gown with the sweetest pink ruffled belt… such a gorgeous accessory.
They decorated their reception beautifully too, with trailing delicate pink blooms and the most amazing macaroon tower… wow wee!!
Thanks so much to the fabulous London based wedding photographer, Oh La La Wedding Photography for sharing her work today….
Names… Robin (from UK) & Wanyu (from Taiwan).
Wedding Date….10/09/2011
The Proposal…. In a field in South Mimms. April 2011, done on one knee job!
The Vision for the day…. Grand / Vintage, 50 guests, 3 course meal and hog roast.
The Planning process…. Started chaotic but ended up fairly organised.
Budget…. we didn’t really set one but knew we didn’t want to get too close to £12,000ish
The Venue… Church: St Mary’s, East Molesey, Surrey, Reception: Carlton Mitre, Hampton Court
The Dress + Accessories….. Joyce Jackson Veil from Davids Bridal, New York. Dress: White by Vera Wang.
The Readings + Music…. We had live organ and violin, violinist Frances Arnold, Processional: Canon – Johann Pachelbel – Violin and Organ, 1st Hymn: Give me Joy in my Heart, Reading 1: About Love – Abstract 1 Corinthians 13 – Priest, Reading 2: An Extract from Captain Corelli’s Mandolin by Louis De Bernieres – Robins Unkle Peter Winbourne, Signing Registers: Arrietty Theme – Cécile Corbel – organ and violin, 2nd Hymn: Lord of All Hopefulness, Recessional: Ave Maria – J.S. Bach / Charles Gounod – Violin and Organ, 8 Church Bells in peal, Reception band – Live Loungers – They were awesome!!!
Beautiful bridesmaids….. Wanyu’s Sister and Robin’s Cousin.
The Flowers… Flowers by Robins Mum and her neighbour Jenny Kirkman
The Cake… 3 Tier, Rasberry and Vanilla, icing butterfly omn one tier, rose on next, custom toppers on top. 90 Piece Macaroon Tower from famous patisserie.
Your Photographer…. Gaelle Beri, Oh La La Photography
The Honeymoon…. Next Year after another reception in Taiwan – Maybe Bali on the way back.
Memorable moments… Wanyu’s Dad helped hem her dress , Sun came out for family photos, Awkward 1st Dance, Robin lost a tooth at some point in the evening.
Advice for other couples… Set a budget and agree the basic items you need from day one, all the little things add up and you will have to choose what is more important (without arguing) Give yourself more than the 4 ½ months we had to plan, far to stressful when your trying to hold up a full time job at the same time.
