An Urban-Chic London Heart Wedding with a Routemaster

I thought it was about time i share a city wedding after all the countryside pretty i have been sharing :-) and this wedding is just perfect for the job.

After getting a fringe myself i have a bit of a fringe addiction, and bride Sarah looks amazing with her blunt fringe, with a simple updo, with her beautiful lace tea length dress. Groom Benjamin looks daper in his brown suit, which is obviously really versatile and could be worn again…. this couple have style i tell you ;-)

This wedding is simple, its about a chic couple, in the big smoke, in love, amazing images…. go!!

Names…. Benjamin and Sarah

How did you meet… We met via an online dating website 5 years ago. Our wedding was 5 years to the week since we met :-)

Date of wedding… 23/7/11

Venue…. Ceremony, Stoke Newington Town Hall and reception The Peasant Pub, Clerkenwell EC1

The dress…. Priscilla of Boston (Vineyard Collection), bought from and altered at Angelica Bridal in Camden Passage, Islington N1

Grooms attire… The suit was by Oscar Milo

How would you sum up your day… We had such an amazing day! I don’t think either of us stopped grinning all day! We were so happy just to be surrounded by our closest friends and family in our favourite city and got so much joy from seeing everyone have a great time. If we could do it all again we would!

Did you have a theme/colour scheme… We wanted an urban-chic wedding because we felt this was what defined “us”, so nothing really matched! We both love living in London and so used this to inspire our invites which were Tube Maps and our Save the Date Magnets which were the London Skyline. We travelled on a London Routemaster to the reception venue. We chose love heart paper weights for the name places and used love hearts throughout the some of the stationary used on the table plan and order of service.

What advice would you give any other couples… The getting married bit is the most important part; everything else is minor in comparison. So just relax, have fun and don’t worry!
