Morning all :-)
I have a very unique and unusual engagement today, from a whole different culture that i just fell in love with. The engagement is based on a Malaysian film, set in the 1960s, in traditional Malaysian dress at the same location the film was shot. How beautiful, and how authentic….
Thanks so much to the brilliant Mahadharmahmood Photography for sharing their work today, here is what they had to say about the shoot;
“This is such a sweet engagement! Fakhqursy and Nora liza are actually getting married this December. The idea came from the couple themselves,it was based on the box office drama in Malaysia “NUR KASIH” and the exact place they shot the film, the Paddy Field at SEKINCHAN,MALAYSIA. I love that is was captured so perfectly in the Sun set in the paddy fields.
It is inspired by the era 60s, which shows classic and the culture on that time! Working as a farmer and full time house wife, they spend their time on paddy field, cycling around the village..and riding a vespa.
The Fakqursy is wearing a white shirt,and Nora is wearing a “sarong”. The sarong is traditional wear for malay a female in the 60s!
All the vechicles we borrowed from the villager and the house, one of heart kind villager give us space to shooting there and you can see some of my pictures shot on a bridge, it is called “nur kasih bridge”. It got it’s name from the drama.”
