Anniversary shoots are a great way of getting to wear your wedding attire again {if you choose to do so}, of capturing beautiful images, and of celebrating your marriage again.
I so love this shoot, set in the UK, it feels as if it is straight from the US. It’s so beautifully styled, with a horse, bunting, cakes and a trip to Starbucks, this couple have all areas of their personality covered :-)Plus it’s set in a gorgeous village wear the film ‘The Holiday’ was shot.… chocolate box pretty!!
Thanks so much to the fabulous UK based wedding photographer, Katherine Newman Photography for submitting her gorgeous images to me, here is what she had to say about the shoot;
“Kirsty and Allan just celebrated their 5 year wedding Anniversary on 16 September and what better way to celebrate than pulling out your wedding dress, putting on that tux and rocking the last of the Summer sunshine! I mean who wouldn’t want another opportunity to put that dress back on and feel like a princess all over again?
Kirsty and Allan are two of the loveliest people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! They welcomed me so wholeheartedly into their beautiful home in Guildford. Kirsty is one of those legendary bakers and had home-made cupcakes beautifully decorated and ready for the shoot, and Allan all handsomely dressed in his black pinstripe suit and newly acquired Converse trainers! How awesome is he?
Allan so kindly drove the three of us down to Shere, such a beautifully picturesque little English town better known for the cottage Cameron Diaz stays at in the movie ‘The Holiday’ — This is where we started our journey. We made our way around the town stopping at all the cute little cottages and every quirky door-frame we could find!
I knew this shoot was going to be perfect the minute we discovered a vintage yellow VW van in Shere, little did I know that we would find a little blue vintage car in the forrest and…wait for it.… a white horse! It was one of those moments where you literally see the clouds part in the sky and a ray of sunshine beaming down from out of them illuminating this white horse which was making its way towards us! What made it even more magical was that Kirsty had bought with her some apples! Like she had known we would find a horse! Pure photographic magic right there in that moment.… and the rest is history!”
Would you consider and anniversary shoot? I hope this gorgeous shoot has inspired you to do so xoxo
