Rachael and Ian are just plain cool.
Their style just oozes cool. Their love is plain to see and i adore these images by the fabulous Shropshire based wedding photographer, Haywood Jones Photography. Simple, romantic and quirky. Here is what bride Rachael had to say about her and her boy…. cannot wait to see her wedding, it sounds amazing!!! Enjoy:
“Originally when myself & Ian were thinking about locations for our engagement shoot, we wanted to choose where we first fell in love. The trouble is, that was in a ski resort in Serbia so although we’d have loved to take our wedding photographer Bethan on an all expenses trip, we opted for Didsbury instead!
We’ve been together for almost 5 years now and it was last March that Ian proposed. He caught me seriously unaware one evening just sitting in our very first flat together. He had been acting very weird and awkward when he spontaneously got down on one knee and then I saw the ring box slowly appear. I immediately screamed, loudly, constantly, for at least 20 whole seconds and then the tears started. Poor Ian just said “at least let me ask you!” We are peas in a pod, two of a kind, he’s the Calvin to my Hobbes. I simply love spending every minute of every single day with him and I never get sick of him. Doesn’t sound overly romantic but to me that is true love.
At first I was really daunted by the prospect of preparing a wedding but now I am finally getting to enjoy it as it feels very real now being just around the corner. We’ll be having an informal civil ceremony at the Lowry Theatre and Art Gallery in Salford Quays. We love the building and thought it’d be a great setting before our epic Chinese banquet takes place consisting of 12 different courses. Maybe I should consider having an elasticated waist put into my dress!
The engagement shoot was such great fun, solely because Bethan is just one of those naturally lovely people that makes you feel completely at ease. We picked a cute café/second hand book shop that myself & Ian love but unfortunately it started to get really busy and was pretty dark inside. Thankfully it was a sunny day in Manchester and so we ventured outside and headed towards the park. Bethan has an amazing talent in bringing out such beautiful detail and colour in her photos. I really cannot wait and am soooo excited about her taking our wedding photos.”
Ok hands up who wants Rachael’s shoes?! Meeeee ;-) hehe big love xoxo
