Adam and Claire decorated their wedding venue simply yet beautifully. The pretty blooms in ornate vessels and the totally fun Glasto cake.
The portraits in this post blow me away, amazing light, such intimacy and so very romantic.
Thanks so much again to McKinley-Rodgers Photography for sharing their images today:
The Flowers… were beautiful. A relaxed country feel – bright pinks, purples, greens, creams. Aim to look like they’ve just been plucked from the wild and thrown together in an arrangement.
The Details + Decor….
The venue was the major décor – a beautiful restored barn in a sleepy Cotswold village. Bunting and homemade signs adorned the entrance to the venue, the lovely little church was adorned with marguerite daisy trees, while the pew ends inside were given wicker hearts and lavender. We had bride or groom pin badges on the orders of service while ‘Team Groom’ played a gig in the entrance to the barn before a frankly better sounding set from the fantastic ‘Cash Cows’ inside. There were homemade lavender hearts as favours for the ladies and strange kooky socks for the Gents to represent Adams eclectic sock draw.
The Cake…
Glastonbury themed cake by theprettylittlecakecompany (absolutely lovely lady who came up trumps)
Your Photographer….
McKinley Rodgers (genuinely felt like darn good friends – a cracking couple)
Memorable moments…
Surprising or unsurprising depending on how you look at it, the ceremony was the most enjoyable aspect of the whole day. Intimate, emotional and loving.
Advice for other couples…
Don’t underestimate how much needs to be done no matter how small or informal you think you are being. But, above all, bloody enjoy it and ensure that it encapsulates everything that you are as a couple and what has brought you to that day of celebration.
The Honeymoon….
Well it was Bristol first of all because that is where we met nearly 12 years ago. After that, a whirlwind tour of Devon and Cornwall. Bude/Padstow/Dartmoor/Bridport (for a vintage sewing machine)/Poole.
Thanks so much to Claire and Adam for sharing their gorgeous day with us today :-) do leave them some love below xoxo
