I think it’s about time for another beautiful wedding on these pink blog pages :-)
This wedding is the ultimate in countryside pretty. Lace, fabulous blooms and a relaxed vibe to the day.
I so love Helena’s wedding day look, her simple lace dress, no accessories and the most pretty wedding day hair ‘do’ i have seen for a while. I know you will love this {www}ers.
Thanks so much to the lovely Cheshire based wedding photographer Lucy West Images for sharing her gorgeous work today, here is what she had to say about the day;
“Joe & Helena are close friends and it was such an honour to play such a big part in their special day..the photographer!!
We, (myself and my wonderful assistant Hannah Beatrice) started the day next door to the church (as that’s where they live!), getting ready. It was so relaxed and lots of yummy food provided even though I’d already eaten so was full. When I saw the dress in the flesh for the first time I was taken aback, it was completely perfect for Helena and a gorgeous style I’d not seen before, provided by Augusta Jones, breath taking!She was surrounded by the most incredible flowers too, created by the Traditional Flower Company, all very seasonal, and smelling delicious!”
The Proposal….
After being thwarted at every turn in an effort for a romantic proposal during a weekend away in the Forest of Bowland, Joe proposed on the way home in the car. He decided to “pull over to look at the map” by a sign to ‘Settle’ and instead pulled out a ring which totally took Helena by surprise.
The Vision for the day….
Quirky, fun, relaxed, country vintage – think locally farm grown English country flowers, bangers and mash to eat, homemade jams and chutney favours and a fun-filled wedding service.
The Planning process….
Scraps of ideas pulled together nicely to create the day. Helena was looking for a unique wedding day but found that being original was harder than she’d thought! Her lace dress which had seemed so different from more traditional strapless dresses was suddenly on trend for the season, particularly when Kate Middleton got married the month before! Country vintage also seemed to be everywhere but provided lots of resources to consider! As the months passed ideas crystallised to what turned into an unforgettable wedding day.
Groom’s attire…
Boggi brown Lounge Suit, cream shirt, champagne-coloured tie, Brown shoes.
The Readings + Music….
Two Bible readings (we’re Christians ;-) – Genesis 2:18-24 and Ephesians 3:14-21 (an amazing passage which Helena’s parents wrote in their engagement card)
Part 2 will be live later this afternoon and it’s filled to the brim with pretty deails <3 xxx
