Can you believe the {www} shoot tutorials are nearly finished!! I haven’t shared this one yet, but i hope it proves useful and pretty for all you DIY brides to be :-)
I couldn’t do the shoot without a bouquet now could i? Granted it’s not the most amazing bouquet i’ve ever seen BUT i think when it comes to flowers, you can’t often go wrong, especially with a natural feel like my little bouquet.
Lets get started:
You need a decent amount of stems and foliage… to be honest i think i needed more flowers.… for the ultimate cost effective option use seasonal blooms and foliage from your garden like i did. All the flowers in the shoot cost me £24!!! Bargain!!
1. To start your bouqet choose a central stem and with the second stem create a 45 degree angle.
2. As you add each stem, twist the bouquet and add each stem at a 45 degree angle… HOLD TIGHT :-)
3. Keep adding, along with your foliage in a random way. Also try and gain different heights in the flowers for a natural, rustic look.
4. Once you are happy with the look of your bouquet, tie tightly around the stems with the fabric/ribbon/wire of your choice. I used a selection of pretty and colourful ribbons.
5. Once your bouquet is secure cut the end of your stems for a neat finish.
And voila… simple and pretty blooms to use at home, for a shoot or your wedding day :-) It’s so much fun! Do twitter or facebook your images to me… would love to see your results :-) Happy crafting xoxo
