I have a super sweet Spring wedding to treat you to this afternoon. This gorgeous couple were married in Australia last year but wanted an wedding in the UK too. I absolutely love Laura’s dress, gorgeous tulle and beading wow! The bridesmaids look amazing in their contrasting colours too, what a fabulous day they had. Can i just say how much i love cherry blossom ;-)
Thanks so much to Bath wedding photographers, Nouvel Amour Photography for sharing their work today, here is what they had to say about the day;
“Our first wedding of 2011, and what a way to start. Laura and Andrew got married in Australia last year, but because of the distance a lot of their friends and family in England weren’t able to attend…and so they re-tied the knot over here in Priston, just outside Bath.
We were all holding our breath for a dry spring day and could hardly believe it when we woke up to a cloudless blue sky. It stayed clear and warm all day – a perfect day in March is a rare thing, we know, but the wedding gods were definitely smiling down on this lovely couple! Laura and Andrew had taken spring as the theme for their wedding, decorating Priston Village Hall with daffodils and bright, springtime colours. The bridesmaids were wrapped in beautiful fuchsia shawls, and we really wanted the season to shine through in our photographs, too, so we made the most of the stunning cherry blossom tree in Laura’s garden.
Congratulations, Laura and Andrew, on your perfect English springtime wedding!”
The Proposal….
In Sydney, Australia. At Observatory Hill at sunset overlooking the harbour bridge.
The Vision for the day….
laid back English country style wedding.
The Planning process….
quick, we planned the majority of the wedding in 2 months!
Beautiful bridesmaids…..
Laura’s school friends Ava, Laura and Jess.
The Flowers…
Picked from the garden and additional bought iris and daffodils. Arranged in jam jars and vintage bottles. Bright and spring like.
The Dress + Accessories…..
Dress from Camilla in Sydney. Cardigan found in Melbourne and rest of accessories bought in high street shops in Sydney. Andrew picked it out for me! Second dress I tried on.
The Readings + Music….
Laura’s old Primary School Teacher played piano for us. Laura chose the rest of the music and put together a playlist, her cousin was DJ!
Groom’s attire…
Simon Carter suit bought in Sydney. Shirt from Country Road in Sydney.
Advice for other couples…
Keep it low key, relax and enjoy it!
The Cake…
Lemon cupcakes made by Laura’s mum.
The Details + Decor….
Pretty, colourful and spring like. My Auntie Jackie acting as celebrant, Mexican banners, photo boards of friends, kegs of bath ale, brilliant sausages and salads from the Parson’s Nose, lots of dancing and generally having a ball.
Memorable moments…
Marrying each other again! The sun shining all day even though it was March in the UK. Having all our friends and family around us and being able to share the celebration with them this time around.
The Honeymoon….
Vanuatu, an exotic beach paradise!
Thanks so much to Laura and Andrew for sharing their day with us xoxo
