I’m back!! Yes would you believe the winter and snowy weddings are still coming through, and how can i say no to such beautiful images ;-)
Thanks so so much to Craig Williams Photography for sharing their work today. Enjoy.
The reception drinks were a blur. I spoke to so many guests and I’m not sure I entirely coherent as I couldn’t quite believe that I had just married my childhood sweetheart. I was so high it was an incredible feeling. The line up was amazing. I loved speaking to each and every guest , hugging them all and having the feeling that they were about to have a ball at the dinner. All of the little touches and hours making labels for candy canes were worth it. The guests loved them all (and noticed everything!)
Advice for other couple’s…
I just asked Claire about advice for future brides and she says to be cool. Good planning is important but don’t stress about all the little things on the day because people won’t notice if everything’s not perfect. As long as you’re got the people you want, good food and plenty of alcohol, the wedding will build a momentum of it’s own.
The whirlwind that preceded dinner was magic. The speeches were ALL fantastic and immensely entertaining (we could have charged for gig tickets for Steve’s speech) and we quickly sped outside for fireworks. The landscape was now unrecognisable outside. The snow had stopped and everything was covered in inches of snow, The tealight lanterns were stunning and the fireworks lit the ground with all the colours of the sky. It was like being at Disneyland with mulled wine, music and childhood cinefilm videos.
The first dance…
I was whisked by Warren onto the dancefloor straight after the fireworks to dance to Nobody Does it Better. We had a few key moves, spinny spinny, spinny out, lunge and double spin, all of which cound much more complicated than they actually were. I remember just laughing and enjoying every second, looking up during the next song and seeing a sea of my favourite people dancing with us.
The Best…..
Everyone says your wedding day is one of the the best days of your life. I suspected it would be for us too, but I had no idea quite how much higher it would raise the bar over any other day in our lives.
The best day.
The best people.
Thanks you so much everyone.
Now everyone raise your candelabra’s… to my wife!
-Warren
