With spring just round the corner i have some perfect inspiration for all of you spring brides-to-be.
Lisa and Damien were married on the Spring Equinox last year. Their wedding is sooo incredibly beautiful, with a boho, relaxed vibe and a stunning stunning bride. The wedding had a country theme with spring florals and new life, all set at the gorgeous Cripps Barn in the Cotswolds.
Huge thanks goes to their amazing wedding photographer Sam Clayton Photography for letting me share her work today, here is what she had to say about the day…
“Lisa & Damian were married at the delightful Cripps Barn in the heart of the Cotswolds. The weather could have been brighter but it didn’t dampen the spirits & Lisa was happy enough to use my lovely umbrellas.
Lisa & her bridesmaids used the New Inn in nearby Coln St Aldwyns to get ready, a ’pub with rooms’ & very nice it was too. Damian met with his best men & ushers in The Village Pub in quaint village of Barnsley. A camper van picked up the men to drop them off at Cripps Barn before heading off to pick up the girls.
After the ceremony we managed a few outdoors photos before the heavens truly opened. The guests enjoyed champagne & canapes before the wedding breakfast in the attached marquee after which was plenty of dancing to the excellent live band.”
The Proposal….
Damian proposed on the roof terrace of our Riad in Marrakech! (on lisas 29th birthday!)
The Vision for the day….
The first day of Spring…. New life (flowers and birds) Country theme in a 18c barn in the Cotswolds uk.
The Planning process….
Lisa has her own Design Consultancy so had creative direction over the look and theme of the wedding, Damian approved things and even mentioned in his speech that she had good taste (whilst giving a nod to himself of course!)
Beautiful bridesmaids…..
Dresses were by Monsoon, they were perfect for Spring as they had sleeves. It turned out two of the bridesmaids were expecting so the shape was perfect! They were given bracelets to wear on the day of freshwater pearl bracelets with silver drop hearts„ presented in a bird!
The Venue…
Cripps Barn in the Cotswolds
The Ceremony Readings + Music….
An Apache Blessing read by best friend Rachel Thomas
The Art of a Good Marriage by Wilfred Arlan Peterson read by Damians sister
She is Love.. by Oasis was sung acoustically by Damians mate Tim Dineen
Be sure to come back later for part 2 of this incredible wedding :-) xoxo
