It’s time for part 2 of this mornings beautiful wedding affair!
This wedding reception is stunning!! With an eclectic mix of decor with a strong fresh white colour scheme. It’s elegant, timeless, classic and beautiful. I just adore the cake, and the delicate glass bottles filled with beautiful blooms. I have no doubt you will find lots of wedding inspiration on this blog post today :-)
Huge thanks again to the wonderful Gemma Williams Photography for sharing her work with us today.
Memorable moments…
So many, I think one of the things that really stands out is how relaxed and smoothly everything went, we totally felt ourselves, which was exactly what we wanted! The ceremony was amazing, but flew by! And our evening band was fab (Tongue and Groove – Herefordshire based)
The Details + Decor….
I made a lot of the details, such as the lace bunting in the church foyer and reception garden, place names etc, all to feel slightly eclectic and vintage. As a designer I had great fun letting loose and making everything fit my vision! See www.katemoby.com for more of my work!
The Cake…
Carrying on the country garden theme, we went for a pretty Victoria sponge made by a friend.
The Venue…
We knew the type of feel we wanted for the day, and didn’t want the venue to be overly grandiose or limiting on numbers of guests, and most of all within budget! We ventured out on a very snowy January day to see Orles Barn (http://www.orles-barn.co.uk/) and loved the feel of it, being homely and understated, with exquisite food, and a beautiful garden and marquee.
Advice for other couples…
Enjoy the run up, being overly ironclad in your ideas makes everything more stressful, so have a plan but also be prepared to change! We couldn’t find duck egg blue bridesmaid dresses, which was the original idea, so changed them to navy, and no one died, and if anything it worked better! Having individual hand made touches too is so special, because you can look round and see evidence of peoples help and how much they care for you both on the day. If decorating the venue etc yourself, enlist help, but not an army or you’ll spend all your time finding things for people to do! Also, be brave, but don’t bite off too much. E.g. I was happy to do the table flowers myself, but didn’t fancy wiring together bouquets on the morning of the wedding! Don’t believe everything the wedding industry tells you – you don’t have to follow exactly what you’re told is acceptable wedding décor/tradition/suppliers etc!
The Honeymoon….
A gorgeous week in the Maldivian island of Meeru. Bliss!
Thanks so much to Kate and Neil for sharing their day with {www}.

I love satin fabric and the long veil, what a classic look! The centerpieces are amazing and that cake is to die for. Who would have thought the words winter and garden would have fit together so perfectly.
