Ohhh i love submissions like today’s ~ a totally rockin’ fun fabulous and beautiful shoot with a gorgeous gal. I love the fact that Alex wanted a shoot in her mum’s dress, how touching and meaningful. But that doesn’t mean she didn’t put her own stamp on it — that’s for sure! I just adore her lips hehe!! “Get a retro enquiry from a gorgeous hip and trendy twenty something, with a wedding dress, vintage veil, a great set of natural backdrops, a bit of water and a pop of lighting with an Ashford Daly flash and a gel or two — you have the makings for a Rock Chic photo shoot with a twist…

Meet Alex our Rock Chick, who wanted to try on her Mum’s wedding dress and have a quite unique photo shoot (daughter’s really do love raiding their Mother’s wardrobes and dressing up boxes right!)So with her Mum’s full permission and best wishes, we aimed to give the imagery a different look and feel in today’s market – a bit La Gaga-esque – showing that it’s all about you, your persona, and how you can really Rock that Frock one more time, even though you might not have been the actual Bride in question.

We met Alex in Warwickshire, to capture what we hope you’ll agree, are some scrummy ‘bridal art’ images, giving the wedding dress a new modern quirky twist, and with the help of some theatrical makeup we had applied, a pair of sexy black over the knee stockings, a petticoat or two, and a pair of music festival wellies, plus lots of attitude – add in some gentle photo direction, and with our photographic know-how, some directional speed-lighting, and specialist finishing / retouching by AshfordDaly, to compliment the overall look and feel, creating some enchanting bridal fashion imagery for a young fashionista.”
