Now this may be a controversial statement, I understand this *be warned*.
I dislike wedding shoes.
Pointy ivory satin is not me. Now i think most brides look amazing with these shoes, just not on me. And also I prefer a bit of a statement. I mean why spend a lot of money on a pair of shoes you will only get to wear once? Granted most ‘wedding shoes’ can be dyed them afterward, but who gets round to doing this, and actually wearing them.
Most people would think oh they are hidden beneath my dress, they don’t matter, but what about when you need to lift your dress to move around? When you sit down? And hell forget all of that – think of the photo opportunities :)
And how about those fabulous brides that have gone for short dresses or 1950s style wedding dresses? They can go shoe mad, and rightly they should!!
Controversial statement 2. I do not ‘do’ heels. My feet can’t handle it, I’m 5″5, but everyone seems to want me to be 5″9. I mean why? I am who I am, why do I need to be tall to look beautiful? But nevertheless I feel the pressure to wear heels. Now I know heels do look more gorgeous, but maybe i want to be different and comfortable on the most special day of my life.
I ordered these beautiful Vivienne Westwood lovelies…. however they just didn’t fit me right and were not comfortable and oh how I was willing them to be :(
So I’m still on the hunt for ‘the shoes’. I have my eyes on some beautiful ‘wedding shoes’ shock horror :) but I am also on the look out for some pink shoe candy.
Don’t worry I havn’t left you without pictorial inspiration, look below at some fab wedding shoes…

I don't like wedding shoes either, so I'm with you on this one. Instead I've gone for bright red, peep toe shoes. I LOVE them. I found them on Ebay, so maybe try there :)
